I capture the quiet presence, feeling, strength, and sensitivity of my subjects through close observation and lifelike detail. My work preserves a moment in time – a breath, a look, a subtle shift in posture – where character and atmosphere are portrayed.

While my primary focus and deepest passion lie with horses, my interest in form, energy and expression naturally extend to domestic animals, wildlife and human portraiture.

I am based between central London and rural Kent, where my own two dressage horses continue to serve as inspiration, muses and subjects of study. I am drawn to understand and capture their behaviour, mechanics, form, and environmental responses, and do so in a manner that is accurate both biomechanically and energetically.

Working in graphite, coloured pencil and soft pastel, I select materials that enable me to thoughtfully reflect detail and technical precision as well as texture, light, and form.

If you have an idea for a piece in mind, or simply share a love for horses and art, I’d love to hear from you.
